Maintaining timber floors with ease

Mother Nature provides a wide spectrum of natural wonders for mankind. As being close to nature all the time may not be possible, man has learnt to bring the outdoors indoors. As such, using a natural, green material such as timber as flooring in one’s living space is aesthetically pleasing be it in a private or public place.
Besides providing constant and direct contact with nature, timber floors stand out as an excellent material that can withstand heavy foot traffic. With the development of hard-wearing floor coatings, wooden floors are now much easier to maintain. Such new technology in wood stains and finishes means only minimal sweeping or vacuuming is required to take care of wooden floors.

  • Compact exhibition on site
  • Supplemented by digital offerings
  • BAU 2023 back in its usual form in all exhibition halls with digital supplement

Although Messe München does have a tried-and-tested hygiene concept, BAU, the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, will not be held from January 11 to 16, 2021 as a conventional in-person event. This was the clear decision from today’s Messe München meeting with the Advisory Board and Board of Trustees of BAU. Instead, there will be a hybrid format from January 13 to 15, 2021, offering exhibitors the opportunity to present their innovations to a wide audience. The digital part of this event will also be an important part of the conventional in-person BAU 2023 trade fair.

Putting health protection first

STAUF, the globally active specialist for adhesive technology, will not be exhibiting at the BAU trade fair in Munich in January 2021. “Normally, the BAU is a fixed date in our trade fair calendar, but we can’t guarantee protection against infection for our employees, customers and partners at such an event”, says Carsten Bockmühl, Head of Sales and Marketing at STAUF. “Due to the continuing pandemic and the unpredictable development of the infection, we feel it is impossible to experience a trade fair in a relaxed and carefree way.”

Responding to market requests, the date of the world's leading trade show for carpets and floor coverings in May has been brought forward by two days.
