In order to treat these sorts, you need a saturating product, which does not leave a film and does not peel off. For saturating all wood sorts Plastor presents the Satureur SX602. This is absolutely ideal for noble exterior wall wood sorts such as cedar, mélèze, and douglas. The product is made on a base of natural oils, penetrates deeply into the wood, and makes it waterproof. Reinforced with an anti-UV component, this SX602 also protects against ageing. The wood structure comes out nicely thanks to the matt finish.

As soon as the wood meets the requirements of class 3b (naturally durable), it no longer requires any treatment. Yet, like all other wood sorts, these sorts will also eventually age under the influence of sunlight. And so, the decision to treat becomes an aesthetic one: some people opt for ageing, whilst others want to retain the original colour of the wood.
