Skirting boards and profiles (9)

Skirting trends are generally connected to flooring trends and to architectural ideas that are continuously changing. What we notice is a strong tendency to demand more elaborate and higher skirting that contribute to the home decoration. Skirting becomes in fact a detail that perfectly completes the design of your interior.

Tecnorivest is an Ancona-based (I) advanced manufacturer of high quality wooden veneered profiles. Tecnorivest covers it's profiles with a sole slice of veneer for a more esthetic product that shows only the beautiful natural wood grains without any joints. Tecnorivest were among the first on the market to install finishing equipment suitable for a UV water based coating with a low environmental impact.

Elegant and functional skirtings give special finishing aspects not only to rooms in residential properties but also in the object area. Parkettfreund is offering a great variety of different aluminium skirtings which can be applied for the most different requirements for example as a cable guide or with integrated LED lights.

With the innovative types PF 945 U and PF 950 Parkettfreund offers to their clients an alternative to the aluminium optics as the floor covering (f.ex. LVT floors) can be inserted into the base board and thus creates an individual design due to the combination of aluminium and wooden surfaces.

Trends vary greatly at Progress Profiles. These include 'polished', 'super polished', mirror effect, stainless steel satin, and seven different designs of aluminium. This is another company with an ongoing programme of research and development and they work constantly on innovations based on new technology.

The latest trend at Küberit is aluminium skirting boards with LED lights and skirting boards with a section of floor (vinyl, laminate, or parquet) added. Top of the pole in that respect at Küberit is the range with elements of Swarovski integrated into aluminium skirting boards.

For Mac Lean Products the latest trend in skirting boards is the high white skirting boards with primer or high-gloss foil. The height of the skirting boards ranges from 65 to 160mm inclusive.

Neuhofer Holz has noticed a trend towards white skirting boards. These white profiles are mainly in demand in upper formats, sometimes even with a certain baroque character. Therefore, Neuhofer has developed the FN White profiles range. An important innovation (with decorative effects) is the FN Clipholder CH27.

The "We offer you more" of the international recognized company Neuhofer Holz headquartered in Austria, stands for "more" innovation, quality, service and flexibility and creates products which are future-oriented with their innovation and functionality. The core business is the manufacturing and distribution of accessories for floor, wall and ceiling.

At Küberit the most important trend is a skirting board system in which parts of the floor can be fitted. The newly patented skirting board 950 makes it possible to fit floorboards of 3 to 11mm (carpet, vinyl, linoleum, laminate, and parquet) into the aluminium skirting board. The company is constantly looking for innovative solutions. One of the very latest innovations has been the skirting boards with LED into which fire exit signs or logos can be engraved. In 2011, the company started with digital printing and continues to invest in it.

At Küberit they are convinced that this technology will continue to gain ground in the future. Eventually, just about any decor will be available on request. 'Customised' digital printing is already possible from 100 metres. The very latest innovation consists of a two-part click system for LVT (luxury vinyl tile) floors, especially LVT floors with a click system which is 4mm thick.
