Oosterlinck

Oosterlinck produces both solid wood and engineered floors. The solid wood floors are made in thicknesses of 9mm (old Flemish style or Burgundy) , 14, and 22mm. These latter two thicknesses are fitted all round with tongue and groove and they are called wooden floors. The engineered parquet is available in 16/4 , 18/6, and 21/6 whereby the final figure refers to the thickness of the top layer

Both the solid wood and enginereed floors are available both in oak as in tropical wood sorts such as afrormosia, wenge, teak, and such like. The oak used is always French or European oak of very sound origin. The distressed floors are available only in oak whereby mainly the rustic selection is taken as the basis. The most common distressing technique is beating the planks so that the planks show signs of damage on the surface and at the edges. Brushing the planks reinforces the distressing in some cases. The floors are then finished with oil.
