This, in combination with the fact that bamboo is not a tree, but a grass sort with several shoots which are ready to be cut after four or five years, makes it clear that in terms of durability there isn't a single sort of wood to beat bamboo. Furthermore, the hardness and durability of the last generation of bamboo floors based on extra compressed fibres, known under the brand name Density® (thickness 1050kg/m3), is often a decisive argument. Apart from the vast hardness (1.5 times as hard as the hardest tropical hardwood sorts), the hardwood appearance of this product is also greatly appreciated. As far as the decorative element is concerned, MOSO has introduced a very wide range of new styles, colours, and surfaces, including a brushed version. There is now even a bamboo floor available with the original bark as a top layer, and this is both extremely strong and attractive.
