The FMW (T & B) is a micro-processor controlled hygrometer which is suitable for measuring wood and building materials. You can use the FMW to measure the damp content by holding the rear side of the instrument for half a second against the material to be measured. The sort of weight of the wood is set on the FMW. This means that all sorts of wood can be measured accurately. You can set the FMW for wood from 250 to 1100kg/m³. For measuring building materials, the FMW has a relative scale. The innovative sensor ensures that the material is not damaged and it is even possible to measure through coats of varnish . To check wood on production lines, Brookhuis has introduced the FMI-V, the successor to the FMI-III and FMI-IV. The FMI-V is a contact-free in-line wood moisture measuring system and classification system in one. In its basic performance, the system grades wood moisture and it can be extended with other functions to grade density and mechanical wood strength.
